How To Stop Time, by Matt Haig
Interesting novel about a somewhat withdrawn teacher named Tom Hazard, a man with a serious secret. While not immortal, truly, Tom ages at a fairly glacial pace. As a result, he’s hundreds of years old, but doesn’t look a day over forty. This has serious implications for his social life — especially since there’s a shadowy organization that frowns on folks like Tom forming relationships with ephemeral beings like you and me.
The writing is good, and the characters are interesting. Rumor has it that the book is being made into a movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
